Ceramicafe Art Lounge NW
The perfect place to relax, socialize, be creative, and have some fun. And at Ceramicafe, you don’t have to be Monet to create a masterpiece!
Family owned and operated since the business was founded back in 2002, Ceramicafe is the premier ceramic studio in the Northwest. Boasting the largest selection of paintable pottery available in the region (at any given time between 500-700 pieces), and turn-around times of just 3-5 days, Krista Courtney and her team of creative ceramic experts have perfected every step of the process. It’s no wonder then that the business has flourished, and they are incredibly excited to announce they have just opened a brand new location (their third) right here at 252 B Avenue in Lake Oswego!
I had the pleasure of speaking with Krista, and it was her genuine warmth and passion for what she does that truly resonated throughout the interview. This is not a “job” for her, and in this industry that’s what makes the difference. There are multiple options available for those interested in doing these kinds of craft events, but there is only one Krista Courtney! To her, this is all about the experience, and Krista’s whole team prides themselves on their customer service. They “engage” with clients, and depending on your skill and comfort levels, they can assist as much or as little as needed—and they offer stencils, templates, transfers, and more.
This is a walk-in studio, so no appointments are necessary (unless you have a group of six or more, in which case you will want to make a reservation). All paints are non-toxic and pieces are bisque. Once fired, they are all food, microwave, and dishwasher safe. Unfinished Pottery (mugs, plates, vases, etc.), Clay Imprints (for kids and pets!), and Mosaics will all be available! They provide everything you need, and there are no additional studio fees! All you have to do is show up, and be ready to have some fun!
Date Nights, Birthday Parties, Bridal Showers, Paint in Your PJ’S, Margarita Madness, Wine & Design, Ladies Night, Wizard World (Harry Potter night!); the possibilities are endless! There is no better place to enjoy time with friends and family, while simultaneously creating something beautiful and/or useful to take home!
Krista and her team are grateful for your support, and extremely excited to be joining the Lake Oswego community. Check out their website, ceramicafenw.com, and be sure to follow them on Instagram and Facebook to get regular updates on upcoming events.
